GREENE COUNTY, Mo. – The next time you vote in Greene county, you might notice a few changes.
County officials are getting ready to bid on new equipment for upcoming elections. A variety of voters from across Greene county were asked to come test out options today and give their input.
Greene county clerk Shane Schoeller says technology has improved considerably, with even touch screen voting, since machines were last purchased.
“The current voting we have is over ten years old and is not as reliable as it once was when we first purchased it. We wanted to get input from Greene county voters in terms of what’s important to them when we go out to bid,” Schoeller says.
The Greene county Clerk’s Office will now review the equipment and feedback before bidding.
